Kat’s Passion For Teaching Children Through Water
As the Owner (and Chief Splash Strategist 💦) of Water Babies of Central Texas, I bring a love for solving puzzles, building teams, and creating a little magic in the water.
With 20+ years of turning big, complex challenges into clear, workable solutions, I now channel that same energy poolside designing thoughtful, step-by-step programs that help our tiniest swimmers learn essential water safety and foundational skills through play, patience, and plenty of encouragement.
I have a knack for bringing calm to chaos (even the splashy kind), building strong, supportive teams, and creating an environment where little ones feel brave; parents feel confident, and every small win is worth celebrating. Around here, progress might look like a first kick, a big smile, or a brave face in the water and we celebrate it all.

How our lessons work
Supportive lessons
You and your child are together in the water along with your instructor until your child is ready to swim independently.
A minimum of 30 minutes long
Lessons take place each week, so it’s a wonderful way to bond with your baby away from the craziness of life.
Have fun!
Skills are taught through song, play and repetition, so there’s never a dull moment when you’re in the pool.
Tailored progress
Our teachers will tailor each lesson to your little one’s ability, so it’s only when they’re ready, we’re ready.
What we’ll teach you
Our program helps your little one develop essential swimming skills, confidence, and water safety from day one. We’ll teach you to teach your baby to swim.
- Water Familiarity – Helping your baby feel comfortable in the water.
- Natural Reflexes – Developing instincts into core aquatic skills.
- Independent Swimming – Learning different strokes and swimming freely.
- Water Safety – Essential skills to stay safe in and around water.
