From Competitive Swimmer to Water Babies Instructor
Celina moved to Washington from Oregon in 2024. She loves to explore the city and discover new things to try. In her free time, she loves exploring art, crocheting, and going on nature walks. She swam competitively from 6 – 18 years of age and as an adult her favorite water activates are paddleboarding and floating the river. She was drawn to Water Babies because she wanted to rekindle her love for the water, teaching, and wanted to grow as an instructor.

How our lessons work
Supportive lessons
You and your child are together in the water along with your instructor until your child is ready to swim independently.
A minimum of 30 minutes long
Lessons take place each week, so it’s a wonderful way to bond with your baby away from the craziness of life.
Have fun!
Skills are taught through song, play and repetition, so there’s never a dull moment when you’re in the pool.
Tailored progress
Our teachers will tailor each lesson to your little one’s ability, so it’s only when they’re ready, we’re ready.
What we’ll teach you
Our program helps your little one develop essential swimming skills, confidence, and water safety from day one. We’ll teach you to teach your baby to swim.
- Water Familiarity – Helping your baby feel comfortable in the water.
- Natural Reflexes – Developing instincts into core aquatic skills.
- Independent Swimming – Learning different strokes and swimming freely.
- Water Safety – Essential skills to stay safe in and around water.
